March Forth Kenya Kids Concert
And the Kenyan Kids march forth. A Music and Performing Arts festival at the Kenyan National Theatre grounds, which serves almost like an exterritorial space within the Republic of Kenya. A Republic of Imagination, within the Republic of Kenya, to say so.
The Festival started off with the genuine displays of Kenyan children showing traditional dances. Most of them come from the slums and its a big thing what they are doing, in all aspects to be respected.
Though, when Rocky Dawuni came and performed, the whole festival turned into something else. These were the days when the regimes in the Arab world were being toppled one by one, and suddenly, Rastafari and Libyan Revolutionary flags were all over the place. For a couple of hours, the smell of revolution was in the air.
Rocky sang 'Download the Revolution' and all of us were wondering, could it be possible... in Kenya?
