So there he was. Singing Hymns for the rebel Soul. Rocky Dawuni, Afro Roots Reggae star from Ghana, invited as the feature artist for a fundraiser event for the Kenyan NGO March Forth Kenya Kids. What started as a poolparty concert for the well-to-do, high above the roofs of Nairobi, turned into an event in its own right after it started to rain and the rain crashed the sound system.
Rocky & The Afro Simbas went into tandem with the elements of heaven and created an intense show, out of a lounge corner, sitting in between the patrons, merely semi-acoustic. To turn a show into an intense experience, against all odds, shows the real talent of an artist!
